NHS Sight Test

If you fall within any of the below categories, you may be entitled to a sight test funded by the NHS

  • You are under 16 years old

  • You are aged 16, 17 or 18 and are in full time education

  • You are over 60 years old

  • You have been diagnosed with Diabetes or Glaucoma

  • You are over 40 and are a direct relative (parent/child/sibling) of someone with glaucoma

  • You receive specific Government benefits

    What a wonderful opticians! Kiran was highly professional, keeping me comfortable and well informed the whole way through my eye test. He showed me the current health and status of my eyes, followed with recommendations to improve some of the symptoms I'd been experiencing lately.     I didn't have an appointment booked however after experiencing eye pain which became progressively worse, I knocked on the door in the late afternoon and Kiran was able to see me there and then. He was professional and explained clearly what each test was for. He made a referral for me to the local hospital for first thing the next morning and provided drops to relieve my symptoms until my appointment. After my appointment he followed up to ask how I was. Kiran went above and beyond and I couldn't recommend him and his practice any more highly. You definitely get a personal touch due to the fact the practice is independently owned rather than a high street chain.
